I have asked Amazon workspace to update my CPU limits so I can give it a try. I think if you pay for a stronger machine it might work smoothly.
I’ve tried on the free tier machine (1CPU / 1GB), the game installs but runs terribly (even worst than with CrossOver). I’ve tried in every way and compatibility mode I could think ofĪmazon Workspace: that looks to be the only reliable option to run GW1 on MacBook M1 at the moment. Parallels: absolutely impossible to run with « a serious error has occurred ». From an older thread I can see that CrossOver is aware of that issue but still hasn’t find a fix yet ( ) It helps marginally to launch the game with the command « -fps » but still doesn’t make it a smooth experience (maybe you get to 15fps on low settings). Here are my (unsatisfactory) findings so far:ĬrossOver: low fps no matter the setting.
